The Gibson CC#11 is one of the most pristine original examples of a 1959 Les Paul that we've ever studied and recreated, Rosie is unique for her dark cherry finish, a color that began to appear in the later era of the original 1959 run and became the standard among the varying degrees of Cherry Sunburst that were produced.

Her finish has been very well preserved, a result of very little exposure to sunlight and having only two owners. She was recently acquired by an anonymous collector from the original owner who purchased her back in 1959. The current owner and collector who worked with us on this recreation describes her tone as "the quintessential '50's Gibson that you hear in your head when you think 'Les Paul'; responsive, throaty and smooth". Her neck profile is a classic "soft V" shape that's been captured perfectly through Gibson Custom's digital analysis technology and engineering, then brought back to life in this limited run of up to 300 guitars.

The "Rosie" Les Paul guitar features all of the 2013 Historic specification upgrades, including a hot hide glue neck fit, aniline dye back and sides, custom wound Custom Bucker pickups to match the tone and balance of the original, and the most accurately reproduced hardware and details that Gibson ever offered. As with all Collector's Choice models, "Rosie" will be made in a limited run that is determined by the availability of qualifying materials, up to a maximum of 300 pieces.
