先由Edwin 在專供Gibson Custom Shop 結他的木材庫存內嚴格挑選最合適的材料，再經Edwin 負責為結他調色，最後交由大師Tom Murphy 根據其豐富經驗，親自為每一支結他噴上標誌性的’1959 Murphy Burst’ 顏色。

由於這批限量版是專為日本市場而推出，所以產量非常小，而Edwin Wilson、Tom Murphy 兩位對Gibson Custom Shop 部門有重大影響力的人合作，加上Edwin 已離開Gibson 公司，這對黃金組合相信亦再難重現，為結他大大增強其收藏價值.

RARE‼️ 2014 Gibson Custom Shop Historic ‘59 Les Paul Reissue “1959 Murphy Burst” Hand Painted By Tom Murphy Japan Hand Selected Limited Edition.

It’s an absolutely gorgeous piece ‼️

This limited edition guitar is a special series of Gibson Custom Shop Department created in an exclusive collaboration with Japan's top Gibson Guitar dealers. The influential "Historic" series, founded by Edwin Wilson and Tom Murphy, the project manager of Gibson Custom Shop at the time, jointly launched a special limited edition‼

First, Edwin strictly selects the most suitable materials from the wood inventory dedicated to Gibson Custom Shop guitars, and then Edwin is responsible for coloring the guitars. Finally, it is handed over to the master Tom Murphy to personally provide each guitar based on his rich experience. Painted in the iconic '1959 Murphy Burst' color.

Other features included selected lightweight mahogany body, authentic ‘59 medium ‘C’ shape mahogany neck, all high glue construction, loaded with original custom buckers pickups is closer to the earlier ‘PAF’ tone. The sound as good as the look and give you the illusion of playing a vintage Gibson Les Paul ‼️
