Only produced for four years, the Gibson Explorer II / E2 was designed to serve as a modern upgrade to the original Gibson Explorer.

Only made in ´79-83 nice version of the Gibson Explorer with multilaminated Walnut/maple body and neck. The guitar is in excellent condition for its age and all original. There is only minor play-wear and a couple of dings, but no cracks, damages or other hidden repairs, the original frets are still in very good shape and the gold hardware is a bit worn which is normal for a almost 40(!) year old guitar. Interesting design, this guitar is from the first batch in all natural finish, displaying the multi-layer maple- walnut construction. The five-piece laminated walnut/maple neck has a medium c-shape profile and is comfortable to play.
