In tribute to Duane Allman's short and tragic life, Gibson has released a limited edition of his beloved Gibson '59 Les Paul Standard guitar, which he often used on stage and in recordings before his untimely death. The tiger-striped maple veneer was carefully selected to closely match the original, and every detail, scratch, and ding has been perfectly recreated by master luthier Tom Murphy.
The guitar features the finest quality wood, making it comfortable to play, and the original Gibson Custom Bucker pickups produce an open and resonant sound that is rich and even, without any muddiness, allowing the player to feel every subtle difference in touch on the fretboard.
