為大家介紹的這支結他是由Gibson 頂級代理特別訂製的限量版，並有專人親自到廠挑選用料，對木材的要求更是一絲不苟，所以無論在面版的木紋、整體的重量都非一般的R9 可相比。而另一特色當然是Custom Shop 首屈一指的大師Tom Murphy 親自為結他Aging及噴色，更細緻到面版的弧度也同樣由他操刀，就是在Gibson 的其它限量版內也是非常罕見的，由此可見他這次對此結他特別的重視，務求要做到最好，最完美的復刻。

相信大家看到這支R9 也會有種似曾相識的感覺，因為結他的Finish 是復刻自公認為 Gibson Les Paul 天書 ‘Beauty Of The Burst’ 內文介紹的第一支Les Paul ‘First Standard’ ， 正是傳奇樂隊Guns N’ Rose 的結他手Slash 其個人收藏及常用的結他之一。
